Audience Development

Audience Development Committee members will participate in promoting the educational activities of Symphonix. Members work with the Chairs to promote concert attendance, incorporate educational programming for Symphonix members, and coordinate associated logistics.

For every event Symphonix puts together for its members and guests, the Donations Committee is hard at work securing contributions for the event’s success. The Donations Committee is focused on securing various gifts of donation from multiple resources in the form of: prizes for drawings, food and drink sponsors, entertainment, and more. The Donations Committee is a significant part of the magic surrounding each membership event, so must be creative in securing donations that help provide a vibrant event experience for our members & guests.

Committee members will help with outreach and follow-up to secure donations. You’ll be able to utilize your personal network to create new opportunities for our committee and enhance your participation in Symphonix.

Membership Events

The Membership Events Committee is responsible for assisting the Membership Event Co-Chairs in planning and executing Symphonix membership events throughout the year. Committee members will help the Membership Chairs source venues, generate ideas, utilize members’ networks, and provide Chair support for event logistics and driving event buzz. Responsibilities for the events will include social media promotion, picking up wine or food, arriving early for help with set-up, greeting guests at the door, selling tickets for our drawing prizes, and event clean-up.

The Volunteers Chairs’ mission is to recruit volunteers as needed by Symphonix for its events and to coordinate those volunteers’ work to support the successful execution of those events. Additionally, as this year’s Symphonix Board intends to build even closer ties with the SF Symphony, we may try to assist SFS in its events with our Symphonix volunteers. The Volunteers Committee will help the Volunteer Chairs to accomplish their mission and rotate “ownership” of the Volunteers function for each Symphonix event (and potentially SFS events as it relates to Symphonix’s assistance to those, if and when Symphonix commits to support SFS events with Symphonix volunteers).  Each Volunteer Committee member will own 1 to 2 events per year, which entails coordinating volunteers, as well as alternate volunteers, ensuring volunteers’ arrival on time for their shifts and ensuring the execution of their tasks for the duration of their shifts.
